Stone Fireplace in Utah

Stone surround fireplace is always a focal point of any room. It delivers warmth to the interior making it exceptionally welcoming and pleasant. As masonry contractors, we know that there many hidden secrets to make the fireplace surround not only attractive but also permanent without later-on issues. Stonemasonry creates a delicate ambiance in an interior. Just imagine how brilliantly stone and yellow flames deliver visual- and physical brightness to the overall space. Traditionally,  surround fireplaces are located in the center of the room. Designers use this method to create social spaces for larger groups. To complete the fireplace area, they surround it with seating to accommodate many guests.
It was a pleasant experience to participate in this amazingly designed project as a masonry contractor .

Limestone and traditional stone kitchen hood in Utah

The mix of limestone and traditional stone create a centerpiece of the kitchen interior. When designing a stone kitchen hood using different types of masonry, designers have to be aware of not over dominating one material to another. Stone hood is always an architectural challenge. The main reason for it is the massiveness of the stone as a material. A kitchen hood is usually located above the person's head. Therefore, to secure it and keep the visual appearance lightweight, all the ingredients have to match naturally, and can't be over implemented. As you can notice in the picture, the interior of this kitchen includes massive ceiling elements. These details help to uniform and balance all the large objects of the room. That's why this mixture of different types of material looks applicable and belonging in this kitchen hood.

Contemporary stone fireplace in Utah

A distinctive feature of this interior is the grey hue fireplace, It stretches up, accentuating the height of the ceiling. The union of different size rectangular stones forms one solid surface. As you can see,  all the masonry was intended to be flush; this trick adds more elegance and lightness to the fireplace. All the joints between the stones are light-colored to match the color of the wall. In such a way, the designer decided to reduce contrast. This method better integrates the fireplace into the overall design theme. Some of the stones have warm hues, which slightly suggest the floor tone, this approach brings a visual harmony between all interior elements. The modern fireplace has a rectangular deepness in the middle - it is the mounting TV area with the electrical outlet and bracket to bolt the support. As masonry contractors, the smiling faces of family members gathered around this fireplace is the best return for all the effort and hard work. We glad to be in service to others.

Stone is a very durable and luxurious material, not only in terms of its expensive look and structural strength, but in terms of the labor required to gather, deliver, and install it.
The tremendous benefits of this opulent material are the hues and textures. It has tons of colors, from sandy yellow to deep red, and thousands of texture options from rough to smooth. All these pallets and surfaces have been given to humans by nature, and it depends on our design abilities how to implement them in the architectural context.
On this particular project, you can notice highly-detailed masonry work. All these stone pieces required pre-fabrication to make them sharply straight and same time elegantly soft-looking. This contemporary stone has a very melodious variation in tone.  Separate six-foot stone pieces are placed in random patterns, creating one solid façade. The stucco color the architect decided to use has slightly more contrast than the masonry. In this way, it accentuates the expensive pattern of stone and emphasizes craftsmanship and detail to work.
Despite this project complexity, we steel could deliver the desired result that our customer wanted. It was a pleasure to be a part of this architectural masterpiece.

-Mountain Hues Stonework-

Picture
Many design visual methods can help enrich the façade, for example, proper usage of contrast, color balance, accents, mass, pattern, texture, line, etc. They all are highly-effective as long as, aesthetically ordered.
The building in the picture is a prominent example of the brilliantly harmonized selection of materials and the combination of textures. This home has a defined architectural theme to it. It resembles that the architect wanted to unify the surrounding and building using a mountain color motif. And, of course, one of the essential elements of the facade became masonry decoration.
There is a visual quality that stone holds, which in most cases, is the reason this material looks imperatively opulent. We can refer to it as patterns (section of laid out stones) created by a pattern (singular stone) that later congregates into a texturized solid surface. Despite the roughness of this particular stone, it creates a smooth, various hues surface.
This simple, however highly effective visual technique is achieved through careful detail to stone layouts. Before laying the stone, we sketch out the size pattern and percentage rate of colors that masons follow. In this way, we make sure that the surface will look continuous and maintain the visual solidness. Often we build a small template section that has to be approved by the client before continuing with the work.
The masonry service has always been an aesthetical challenge. Nonetheless, through precise collaboration with architects, designers, and clients, we achieve so desired results.
